About

Art That Sticks

Filipino-made sticker art for laptops, journals, walls, and anything else that needs a little personality.

The Story

Made in the Philippines, for the Philippines

Hala! Art started as a personal project — a way to process the noise of Filipino daily life through small, printable, stick-anywhere art. Political commentary that fits on a laptop lid. Pop culture references that land with the right people. Absurdist humor for everyone else.

The name comes from that distinctly Filipino exclamation — the surprised, exasperated, amused "Hala!" you say when something is exactly as ridiculous as you expected. That's the energy. Everything is a little unhinged. Everything is a little too real.

Today Hala! Art sells through three indie stockists in Manila and ships direct through Instagram DM. Each sticker is designed, printed, and packed locally.

What We Make

The Work

Three categories. One consistent energy.

✊

Political Art

Commentary on Philippine politics, media, and power dressed up in sticker format. Small enough to stick anywhere. Loud enough to make a point.

🎭

Pop Culture

Local references, internet culture, and that specific Filipino experience of consuming global media through a very particular local lens.

💀

Everyday Absurdism

Traffic. Heat. Queues. The specific exhaustion of being alive in Manila. Illustrated, printed, and turned into something you can laugh at instead of cry about.

What We're About

Five Things We Believe

01

Art Belongs Everywhere

Not just in galleries. On laptops, journals, water bottles, phone cases, bus seats if you're bold. Stickers are democracy.

02

Filipino First

Designed, printed, and sold here. Every purchase supports local design and local printing. Not shipped from overseas, not outsourced.

03

Humor is a Survival Tool

If we can't laugh at the chaos, what are we doing? Hala! Art makes things that are funny because they're true, and true because they're funny.

04

Small Batches, Real Edges

We don't mass-produce. Runs are small. Designs rotate. If you want something, get it now — it might not be there next week.

05

Community Over Clout

We're at indie stores, not malls. We post for people who get it, not for the algorithm. The right audience finds us.

The Journey

How We Got Here

The First Design

The Beginning

One design, made for fun, shared on Instagram. More people wanted one than expected. That was the sign.

First Stockist

Early Days

Hub Make Lab in Escolta became the first place you could walk in and buy a Hala! sticker. Fitting — Escolta has always been where Manila's weirdest creative energy lives.

Growing the Collection

Momentum

More designs, more stockists. Sandbox Play Store in Morayta and Elsewhere Café in Taft joined the network. Three shops, three different Manila neighborhoods.

Today

Now

Over 80 posts, 3,700+ followers, and a growing catalog. Still indie. Still local. Still sticking things where they probably shouldn't be.
